Chelsea considering move for Juventus attacker Federico Bernardeschi
Chelsea are reportedly weighing up the possibility of moving for Juventus attacker Federico Bernardeschi during this summer’s transfer window.
The 26-year-old, who has recently been linked with Manchester United, scored twice and provided three assists in 38 appearances for the Old Lady during the 2019-20 campaign.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve are keen to offload the attacker in the coming weeks as new head coach Andrea Pirlo looks to move the team in a different direction.
The report claims that Chelsea are keeping a close eye on developments as they consider a summer move, while Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest.
Bernardeschi joined the Italian champions from Fiorentina in 2017 and has made 108 appearances for the club over the last three campaigns, contributing 10 goals and 15 assists.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have allegedly been given a deadline of August 28 by Bayer Leverkusen to agree a deal for Germany attacker Kai Havertz.
Chelsea show interested in Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero
Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero is reportedly the subject of interest from both Leeds United and Chelsea ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
The 33-year-old has been David de Gea’s understudy at United since arriving at Old Trafford in 2015, making 61 appearances for the English giants in all competitions.
Romero is allegedly unhappy with his current situation, though, and he could be pushed further down the pecking order if Dean Henderson returns to the club this summer.
According to ESPN, Leeds and Chelsea are keeping a close eye on developments, with both teams ‘interested in the Argentina international’.
The report also names Everton as potential suitors as the Toffees consider replacing England’s Jordan Pickford as their number one following an inconsistent season.
Romero had played six Europa League matches in a row for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side before being dropped for the semi-final clash with Sevilla on Sunday night.
